Saudi Arabia launches two centers in Yemen to combat cholera

King Salman Relief Center in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) are establishing two projects to treat and combat cholera in Yemen.


:: King Salman Relief Center in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) are establishing two projects to treat and combat cholera in Yemen as directed by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Advisor at the Royal Court and the General Supervisor of the Relief Center, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeahh and the representative of World Health Organization (WHO) Dr. Ibrahim Al Ziq signed agreements to launch the $22740133 projects.

The two projects aim at supporting cholera treatment in Yemen, improving treatment of suspected cases, initiating infection control practices at the level of health facilities to reduce the spread of disease and deaths from the epidemic.

They also aim at coordinating and collaborating locally and internationally in the fields of water and sanitation between international organizations operating in Yemen.
