Najran Gov. Prince Jalawi bin Abdul Aziz greets citizens in Thar province.

Najran Gov. Prince Jalawi bin Abdul Aziz recently visited the Muhammudiyah and Thaj centers in Thar province in the Najran region and met with tribal leaders, dignitaries and citizens.

He said his visit was in accordance with “the directive of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman who ensures that the citizens are comfortable and all right.”

He said his visit was also in accordance with his duties and responsibilities to ensure that the citizens of Najran have not only what they need but also enjoy security. “Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has spared nothing to serve the nation and the Saudi people in accordance with the holy Qur’an,” Prince Jalawi said.

He noted the flowering of arts and culture in the Kingdom, making citizens more enlightened and their culture enhanced.

“Citizens have also been introduced to the fields of science and technology. But the Saudi leadership also wants its people to also win glory and honor,” he said, noting that Crown Prince and Interior Minister Prince Mohammed bin Naif has just sponsored the Crown Prince Cup to engender a love for sports.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif personally presented the Crown Prince Cup to Al-Hilal team captain Yasser Al-Qahtani at the King Fahd International Stadium on Friday. Al Hilal prevailed over Al Ahli, 2-1, in the Crown Prince Football Cup final.

Prince Jalawi told citizens that “we’re lucky under a wise leadership which fights all odds for our security and comfort.”

The Najran governor was referring to the deployment of troops to secure the southern border against infiltrators who have tried to illegally enter the Kingdom, in addition to Houthi rebels who had been firing missiles at Saudi Arabia.
