Palestine major concern for KSA
The Cabinet on Monday stressed that the cause of the Palestinians remained a major concern of the Kingdom and called on the Security Council to set up an international protection system in the occupied territory, including Al-Quds.
On the local front, the Cabinet thanked Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for helping to protect the country’s heritage with the staging of the 30th Janadriya Cultural and Heritage Festival.
Later, the Cabinet approved several decisions including the amendment of the organizational structures of the Public Pension Agency and Human Resources Development Fund by adding a member to the boards of both agencies to be nominated by the Council of Economic Affairs and Development.
The Cabinet also authorized the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage to discuss a memorandum of agreement with Argentina on tourism, approved an agreement with Macedonia on the avoidance of dual taxation, and approved amendments to regulations related to students studying abroad at their own expense.
The Cabinet approved an agreement with France on the mutual exemption of short-term-stay visas for holders of diplomatic and special passports for Saudi nationals only and service for French nationals only.
It also approved a framework memorandum of cooperation in developing a knowledge-based society between King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology and the South Korean Ministry of Science, Information Technology, Communication and Future Planning.
The Cabinet approved a new organizational structure for the Saudi Press Agency.
