Prince Sultan’s visit promotes Serbia ties

President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTNH) Prince Sultan bin Salman praised the Saudi leadership’s peace efforts in the Balkans using its prominent role in the international community.

Prince Sultan stressed the importance of the geographic loation, civilization, heritage and the economic development of the Kingdom which promotes its political influences at the international level. He pointed out that the Kingdom respected the values of nations in the Arabian Peninsula.

At the end of his visit to Serbia, the prince said that the Kingdom is interested in developing its relations on an equal footing with countries of the Balkan region due to the strategic location of the region. Serbia is an important country in the region. It has advanced and developed projects, which prove that it will have a great future, he said.

The Kingdom signed the convention of non-aligned countries in Belgrade in 1961, while the two countries signed an agreement to establish diplomatic ties in 2013, starting a stable political and economic relationship.

The SCTNH president said his visit to Serbia has opened new horizons for economic cooperation between the two countries, adding that the Kingdom would receive a joint delegation of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He clarified that this will be a unified delegation to visit Saudi Arabia for the first time to discuss ways to develop economic cooperation in the fields of heritage and tourism.
