The Ministry of Education will send 25,000 teachers for training in developed countries.

In a report to the Shoura Council to be discussed in the next session, the ministry said that it will send 25,000 teachers abroad to train in programs on best teaching practices.

“These teachers will train for one year in the best modern practices in school programs in developed countries,” the ministry said.

The ministry also said that it has created an administrative unit called “Management of School Health Affairs” which holds educational and coordinating functions in the Department of Education in the provinces,” the ministry said.

It added that it will also select two teachers from each school with 100 students or less and one teacher from schools with less than 100 students each. The teachers selected will assist in the implementation of specialized tasks of school health.

The Education Ministry has also mentioned plans to coordinate with the Ministry of Health and other competent authorities to provide training to teachers nominated to perform tasks related to health in schools with clinics where supplies for first aid are available.

“In this regard, the ministry is seeking the provision of male and female nurses initially in five schools, with the trend in the future to provide nurses for each school,” the Education Ministry said.

The ministry added that it’s currently studying the possibility of creating incentives for teachers in cooperation with the finance and civil service ministries.

The incentives include awards of excellence for teachers and bonuses for all school principals.

The Education Ministry added that it will conduct a survey to explore the projected demand over the next 10 years for teachers in accordance with specializations.
