Saudi-UAE business forum to discuss bilateral ties

Saudi Minister of Commerce and Investment Majid Al-Qassabi is expected to attend.

:: The second Saudi-UAE Business Forum will be held in Riyadh on Thursday. Attendees, including Saudi Minister of Commerce and Investment Majid Al-Qassabi and the UAE’s Minister of the Economy Sultan Al-Mansouri, will address key issues to bolster bilateral ties.

The forum will also be attended by the chairman of the Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC), Sami Al-Obaidi, and Mohammed Thani Al-Rumaithi, chairman of the Federation of the UAE Chambers of Commerce. Multiple other industry representatives, government officials, investors and entrepreneurs have also been invited.

The CSC said the forum would include sessions where speakers would address the future of the Saudi-UAE partnership, as well as key issues including the role of the Saudi Export Development Authority in facilitating trade with the UAE. It added that the forum would conclude with bilateral meetings on industry, technology, financial services, food security and the energy sector.

The first bilateral business forum between the two was called “Together Forever” and was held in Abu Dhabi in October 2017. It is held every two years to discuss strategic objectives and foster ties between businesses from both countries, and to find solutions to challenges that limit trade and investment.
