$8.2 billion in aid provided to Yemen since April 2015

:: Saudi Arabia has provided $8.2 billion in aid to Yemen since April 2015 according to the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid.

“We have supported more than 80 projects in favor of the children of Yemen,” a spokesman for the center told a news conference in Riyadh on Monday. “We provide a lot of assistance to civilians in areas controlled by the Houthis.”

The spokesman added that the Houthi militias are exploiting the spread of cholera as a political card.

The center provided $66.7 million to combat the spread of cholera in Yemen in a ddition to setting up four centers for rehabilitating child soldiers recruited in Yemen.
