Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is also Saudi Arabia defense minister, met with Votel on Tuesday at his office at Al-Salam palace in Jeddah.

“During the meeting, both reviewed areas of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the military aspect, as well as the joint efforts in fighting terrorism and combating extremism, in addition to the latest developments in the region,” a statement from Saudi Press Agency read.

The meeting was attended by a number of officials from the two sides.
