President Hadi: ‘We won’t allow division of Yemen into states’

:: On the occasion of the 27th anniversary of Yemen’s union May 22, Yemeni President Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi said in a speech that he would not allow Yemen to be divided into states just to fulfills the “wishes of this leader or that faction.”

He stressed the importance of not allowing “fragile entities to interfere or claim to represent the country unlawfully, or to engage in mercenary acts which cause the Yemeni people turmoil and suffering.”

Hadi said that the option of a “Yemeni federation” is the right of country and no force can deny this to its people. “Yemenis will not allow anyone to distract them from their big battle with the militias, coup, terrorism and divisive projects,” he said.
