Saudi Arabia’s King Salman has said that there is an urgent need to intensify international efforts to resolve issues and crises in the Middle East, including the Palestinian cause and ending Syrian and Yemeni crises.

The Saudi monarch’s comments come during his four-day visit to Tokyo as part of his month-long Asia tour where he already visited Indonesia, Brunei and Malaysia. He is due to travel on to China and the Maldives.

“These crises have affected negatively on the region’s stability and development, impeding the growth of international trade, and threatening ensuring of energy supplies to the world,” King Salman said.

“Terrorism has become the greatest danger to the security of nations and peoples, we are major partners in fighting it, and we are in need of concerted international efforts and hard work to deepen the concepts of dialogue between the followers of religions and cultures, and enhance the spirit of tolerance and coexistence between peoples,” he added.
