Houthi militia besieged al-Thawra Hospital in Sanaa and attacked some of the doctors while they were protesting to demand their salaries, which the militia looted five months ago.

According to medical sources, dozens of militiamen besieged the hospital, backed by armed vehicles carrying armed men, to end the protest.

The hospital’s doctors, administrative employees and staff threatened to go on a general strike if their wages and financial dues were not paid during this coming week.

They held the hospital’s manager, who was appointed by the Houthis, responsible for the deterioration in the situation and for the looting of their salaries.

According to activists on social media networks, the Houthi militia attacked everyone who tried to take pictures of the attack on the protesting doctors and broke their mobile phones.
