Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Arab League Ahmed bin Abdelaziz

Ahmad bin Abdulaziz Qattan, Saudi ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Arab League, who is also Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps, stressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s support for the Syrian people in addressing Israeli continuous violations in Golan Heights, confirming Arabism of that territory.

In his speech before the Arab League extraordinary meeting at the level of Permanent Representatives of the Member States, Qattan called upon the international community to address strongly the Israeli escalation which are rejected by the Kingdom and the Arab states.

He added that the Syrian crisis will continue in light of continuation of Bashar Assad’s regime, pointing out that the Zionist entity exploits the Syrian crisis to impose a fait accompli on the occupied Syrian Arab Golan.

Ambassador Qattan stressed that continuation of the Israeli violations and escalations represents a threat of the regional and international security and peace.
