Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman launched an awareness campaign against corruption on Monday. The campaign aims to maintain transparency and integrity in all activities in the region.

The program is being coordinated by the Madinah Governorate in association with the Ministry of Interior and the National Anti-Corruption Commission (Nazaha).

Prince Faisal said the governorate had been working to preserve integrity among officials and combat corruption in all its forms within the region .

“We are keen on raising the level of transparency in the proceedings in both the government and private sectors in order to provide a work environment conducive to the smooth functioning of development plans and also to raise the quality of performance,” he said, stressing that such efforts would result in offering high-quality services to all beneficiaries.

The awareness campaign will feature seminars, workshops, and direct meetings with government officials, citizens, students and youth. It seeks to change the mindset of many people, he said.

Nazaha’s public awareness campaign, “Our Homeland Is Our Trust,” targets state and private sector workers.

According to Nazaha spokesperson, Abdul Rahman Al-Ajlan, the campaign is in collaboration with various bodies in the region and will highlight the importance of tackling corruption in the workplace.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has recently stated that the country’s growth depends upon transparent and accountable practices.

Al-Ajlan said the anti-corruption drive would help improve productivity and aid in monitoring mechanisms at all levels.
