Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will visit Riyadh on Monday, Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid said on Saturday.

The Pakistani prime minister will be accompanied by his country’s military chief Gen. Raheel Sharif.

Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that his country is committed to defend the sovereignty of the Kingdom as per defense agreements between the two countries.

In a briefing before the Pakistani Senate in Islamabad, Asif said that Pakistan is seeking to play a positive role in the current crisis between the Kingdom and Iran, but would defend the integrity of the Saudi territories if there is any threat to its sovereignty.
