Two hundred trainees from Yanbu Technical Institute graduated at a ceremony attended by the chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu.

The chairman, Prince Saud Bin Abdullah Bin Thunayan, also inspected the Royal Commission projects in Yanbu on the sidelines of the ceremony.

Prince Saud reiterated that providing quality education and pushing highly trained Saudi cadres to the labor market are the top priority of the Royal Commission, and said that the Royal Commission worked hard to train Saudi youth.

The chairman praised the role of the Yanbu Technical Institute in training Saudi youth, and said graduates were in high demand among major industrial companies operating in the Kingdom.

In his speech at the ceremony, the Royal Commission’s CEO, Alaa A. Nassif, said he appreciated the chairman’s support, and noted that he was keen to share in the students’ joy of graduation.

Alaa confirmed that graduates would be employed by industrial companies according to the strategic partnership between the Royal Commission and the sectors operating in the city through the Professional Enhancement Program (PEP).

Alaa said the institute had seen 1,375 young men holding technical diplomas or degrees gain employment, and provided more than 424 training courses for 7,330 on-job employees working for industrial companies and government and private sectors.

The chairman also inspected the Royal Commission’s projects in the industrial and community areas, including the new headquarters building and King Salman Road, construction projects in Haii Al-Mehan, housing projects implemented by major companies in Madinat Yanbu Al-Sinaiyah, and the waterfront project and areas allocated for investors to keep up the growth of the city.
