India saw the launch of a much-touted 4G telecom service on Sunday night and Bollywood celebs turned to Twitter to break the news, all eerily tweeting the same thing.

“Congratulations to the Jio family on this landmark day! This truly seems like the beginning of a Digital India #CelebratingJio” tweeted more than a dozen celebrities including Hrithik Roshan, Parineeti Chopra, Sonakshi Sinha, Sania Mirza, John Abraham, Farah Khan and others.

Chance occurrence, you say? No, just tons of heavy marketing through celebrity endorsements which left many outraged.

Reliance Jio Infocomm, the second telecom venture by Indian businessman Mukesh Ambani, held a launch event where Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan introduced various services offered by the brand while a number of other A-listers took to Twitter to celebrate the latest technology, reports Times of India.

Soon enough, #CelebratingJio started trending on the social media site with B-Town superstars all tweeted the exact same thing.

In an attempt to hide the obvious, some stars tweaked their tweets.

But people can’t be fooled. Twitter soon saw people speaking out against the ‘clone’ tweets:

@ashishbadshah tweeted: ‘#CelebratingJio… Looks like tweets came from a factory of clones .. So much for artistic individuals ..’

’Maybe Reliance Jio is so amazing that every celeb had the same reaction to it. Or they are just trolling Mukeshbhai’ tweeted @IndiaExplained.
