Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman, who is chairman of the board of directors of the Takaful Charity Association for Orphans’ Care in the region, chaired a meeting of the board of directors of the association and investment committee.

Members discussed a number of issues related to the work of the association and the progress of the qualitative transformation which it recently saw. A number of investment opportunities were also discussed which could make the association financially sustainable and help its activities in the care for orphans in the region in a better way, as per the scientific approach which takes care of the orphans in their various stages of age. This could provide financial stability in an attractive and healthy environment.

Speaking at the occasion, Dr. Abdul Mohsin Al-Harbi, secretary general of the Takaful association, said that the council has agreed on completion of the project of Takaful’s social club in the form of a facility where orphans could benefit in the area of sports, culture, social and amusement or developing skills. This is in addition to implementation of the “Istedamat khair” (sustainability of virtue) initiative in partnership with some of the associations which work in the area of social responsibility and which would benefit the welfare work being done in Madinah.

The secretary general thanked Prince Faisal for his continued support to the association, saying that his

wishes are an asset in the activities of the association in all areas.

The Takaful association takes care of more than 8,000 orphans, both boys and girls, their livelihood, health, upbringing and education.
