In the poetry session, the following participants melodiously recited poems of their choice.

The poetry session was followed by Hadeeth by Syed Faizan Ahmed and Asma ul Husna by Zainab Hassan. Finally, Kulsoom Hassan, Syed Fahad Ahmad, Iqra Zaman, Syed Faizan Ahmed, Areeba Zaima Alam and Arham Sarwar recited verses from the Holy Qur’an in the Qirat category. The sweet-sounding and melodious tone of the participants came in for much applaud from the audience.

The second phase of the program incorporated an “Islamic Quiz” competition. Children took part in the quiz with lot of vigor and vivaciousness. It was a fine display of exuberance and enthusiasm. The audience was left completely enthralled and enraptured.

The program concluded with the prize distribution by officials Consulate General of India officials and members of the Jamia Alumni Association’s core committee. All participants were felicitated with valuable gifts, sponsored by Ghazanfar. The coordinators of the children’s program were Mrs. Sadiqa Tarannum, vice president of JMIAA-WR (Ladies wing), Syed Naseem Ahmad (general secretary) and Afzal Nisar Khan (treasurer).

The children’s program preceded the main function of the evening which was addressed by chief guest Shahid Mehdi, former vice chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamiya; Dr. Intakhab Alam Khan (Jamia alumnus and King Abdulaziz University faculty member), Ghizal Mehdi (president, JMIAA-Riyadh) and Nadeem Nadwi, president of JMIAA-WR.
