Thirteen Saudi students have died in the United States in 2015. The number includes those who were killed, drowned or died of natural causes, according to a website.

Abdur Rahman Al-Fifi, a Saudi student, said that he wished that the Saudi Embassy and the cultural attaché would follow up all cases in every possible way. Failure to do so raises doubts, he said.

Al-Fifi recorded 26 names with the dates of their deaths. He said that this year the number of Saudi students’ deaths had been reported in the media and hoped the number would not increase.

Al-Fifi expressed concern about the deaths of so many Saudi students in the US. His concerns have been supported by many and there have also been comments on his Facebook page by those who do not agree with him.

He said that among those who have died so far in 2015 are Mansoor Al-Tami on March 4, in a fire; Mohammad Al-Bugami on Feb. 22 who was found dead in his apartment; Fahd Al-Harbi of a sudden stroke on March 15; Talal Al-Johaini who was stabbed to death on March 18, allegedly by a Saudi student who was his relative and lived with him; Maaz Al-Bulawi in an accident on April 28; Umar Al-Huwaikan of a sudden heart attack on May 9; Khaleel Khalaf Al-Bulawi in a fire in his apartment on May 18; Fada Al-Zahrani drowned in a Wisconsin lake on June 3; Mohammed Bajaber drowned in the same lake on June 10; Rayyan Ibrahim Baba died when he was shot on a university campus on Aug. 15; Naif Al-Hamrani Al-Harbi died of a heart attack on Aug. 26; Muhannad Ali Al-Bashir in a traffic accident on Oct. 9 and Rakan Marzouq Al-Thunayan of a heat stroke on Oct. 12.
