You’d think that Bollywood stars Ranbir Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar would have their hands full with their next films “Tamasha” and “Wazir” respectively, but it turns out that the duo also have time for promotional services. Both stars are in hot waters for promoting an allegedly fraudulent online shopping portal, and an FIR has been lodged against the them, The Indian Express reported.

The police said the FIR was registered by a lawyer against Farhan and Ranbir.

The FIR against the directors of the online site askmebazaar.com has also been submitted. The lawyer allegedly accused the actors of promoting the website, which failed to deliver a product within 10 days of payment.

He stressed that the superstars’ promotion of the website give its customers a false sense of assurance about the website’s authenticity. Concerned authorities are looking into the matter.
