The Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) will grant housing loans to its employees who wish to build or own a house in a move widely welcomed by the staff.

“The CSC has taken the decision to grant housing loans to its employees, which comes within the framework of the organization’s social responsibility programs and will provide the employees with family stability,” said CSC Chairman Abdulrahman Al-Zamil on Saturday.

The move, he added reflects the council’s interest in creating a congenial working environment at CSC besides acting as an incentive for employees to be more competitive and productive in the workplace. The employees will receive a 100 percent housing loan equivalent as part of the end of service benefits as an advance payment, he said.

“To own a house is a dream for most citizens and a key requirement for the stability of a family,” Al-Zamil noted, pointing out that this initiative will save the employees from paying the monthly housing rent which takes up a major chunk of their income.

Al-Zamil said that the loans will also help CSC employees to fulfill the requirements of local banks for housing loans which enable them to buy land or build a house thus reducing the period of time needed to own a house.
