The western region will be affected by a cold wave and rainy weather at the end of this week.

“A belt of rain clouds is expected to extend from the north to western regions increasing the chances of rainfall over these areas. There is also a possibility of heavy rains over the western region. Baha, Riyadh and Qassim will also be affected,” according to local media.

International observatories predict that rain will fall between the coasts of Tabuk and Makkah region. The rain will be followed by a cold wave with north and northwesterly winds hitting the country by the middle of this week.

This cold spell will cover all Mideast countries, especially Syria, Lebanon and Jordan, according to Abdullah Al-Maimani, an environment expert at King Abdul Aziz University.
