The Ministry of Labor has called on all recruitment offices in the Kingdom to publish the salaries of domestic workers on the “Musaned” website in a bid to ensure transparency, fairness and guarantee the rights of workers and employers.

Undersecretary of Customer Services at the Ministry of Labor Ziad Al-Saigh said: “The Labor Ministry has directed recruitment offices to publish the wages of domestic laborers on Musaned and list their professions and nationalities for the benefit of citizens and residents who wish to employ them.”

He warned that the ministry would halt electronic authorizations of recruitment companies and offices if they did not comply with the new regulations. “Recruitment offices must disclose their recruitment costs for greater transparency,” he said, noting that the move would create healthy competition among recruitment companies to provide the best services in line with the strategic recruitment plan of the Labor Ministry.

The ministry’s electronic portal, Musaned, was recently launched with the aim to bridge the gap between employers and their workers.

The site also hosts comprehensive information on licensed recruitment offices, provides mechanisms for filing complaints and reporting disputes, displays samples of required documents including exit/re-entry visa and residency permit forms.

The ministry has recently improved the customer service center on the site where information on rights and duties can now be translated into eight languages.
