The Hyderabad-based Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) made a spectacular entry into Maharashtra by winning two assembly seats. MIM candidates, Imtiaz Jaleel (Aurangabad Central) and Waris Yusuf Pathan (Byculla), won with handsome margins. They trounced established candidates from the Bharatiya Janata Party
