The King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue has decided to focus on terrorism through a series of intellectual, cultural and social activities that will be implemented at the end of the year. The center revealed that it intends to organize 20 meetings to deal with extremism and advocate moderation, in addition to joining efforts in developing a future national vision to tackle the problem of extremism. The strategy will be implemented in three stages, with participation of religious, educational, cultural and media establishments in addition to various cultural and intellectual entities.

Deputy Chairman of the board of trustees and general secretary of the center Faisal bin Moammar said the programs, which have been approved by the board, will be launched next week and held in three stages.

These involve holding preparatory meetings and other quality meetings in all parts of the Kingdom. He said the programs will witness the participation of scholars, imams and workers in educational, social and cultural fields.

He pointed out that the aim of the center in the coming year is to strengthen the values of moderation, and devise a national vision about various intellectual fields in the Kingdom.

He said the executive plan will organize 20 intellectual meetings in the 13 provinces of the Kingdom under the title “Extremism and its effects in the ladder of the center’s priorities.”
