Brig. Al-Adwani

Brig. Gen. Masud Al-Adwani has been appointed Jeddah’s new police chief effective Wednesday.

Lt. Aati Al-Qurashi, Makkah police spokesman, told Arab News that Brig. Adwani was appointed by Maj. Gen. Osman Al-Mahrajj, director-general of public security in the Kingdom.

The incumbent Maj. Gen. Abdullah Al-Qaitani is been relocated to provincial headquarters as an adviser to the regional police head.

Al-Adwani has an excellent record in addressing security matters and previously worked in Jeddah, where he served as commander of a public security training complex in Makkah up until his new appointment.
