A Saudi man, who left the Kingdom 18 months ago to join the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group, has died, leaving behind six daughters, according to a report.

Al-Zahrani, 42, was killed in Kobani, the main theater of war at the Turkey-Syria border where the IS is fighting coalition and Kurdish forces. Al-Zahrani had left his family and job at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh to join the terrorist group. During his time with IS, he learned to make explosives.

Curiously, when Al-Zahrani died, it took a while for other IS members to identify him. They launched a Twitter campaign to find out his real name so that they could inform his family of his death. They also sent tweets to Saudi tribes and published photographs of him under his assumed name, Ibrahim Al-Jazrawi.

Al-Zahrani hailed from Abha, and moved frequently between several IS camps in Syria.
