Shocked by yet another terror attack by Daesh on Friday that claimed five lives and injured several people at a Shiite gathering at Saihat, many citizens expressed deep sorrow over the growing violence among misguided youths and condemned the act as inhuman and against the teachings of Islam.

United in grief to express solidarity with the victim’s family, they also denounced the evils of terrorism and such acts of violence on Sunday, praying for peace and prosperity in their beloved country.

Expressing his condolences and praying that Allah bestows mercy on the victims and provides the injured with prompt healing for quick recovery, Abdullah Inayat, a public relation manager based in Jeddah, condemned the terror attack terming it a criminal and cowardly act, which is intolerable and must be condemned by one and all in every possible manner as violence has no place in Islam.

“These terror acts reflect the cruelty and ugly face of such perpetrators of these heinous crimes called terrorism. We deplore the brutality of the terrorists who perpetrated this violence that only highlights their complete disregard for humanity,” he told Arab News.

Echoing the sentiment, Zeyad Mohammad, an IT executive in the capital said: “I feel sorry for those affected in the terror attack and express my deepest condolences to the families of those killed in the violent act. I pray for the rapid recovery of those wounded in the terror attack.”

“On yet another Friday, we came to know this ugly face of terrorism, for which Daesh claims responsibility. It is cruel and inhuman to kill anybody,” he underlined.

Many netizens took to social media to denounce the terror act and express their solidarity with the victims’ families.

Ahmed Bilal wrote on his Facebook wall, “This is cruel and inhuman. A day will come when even the perpetrators of such heinous crime will realize that big hearts will bring peace and assault weapons are only hate mongering.”

Health Minister Khalid Al-Falih went on an inspection tour on Saturday and was reassured of the conditions of those injured in the terrorist attack. He was briefed on the medical services provided to the 12 people injured in the attack, out of which four have been discharged while others are in the hospital in stable condition.

The minister expressed condolences to the victim’s families while praying for the quick recovery of the wounded.
