The executive committee of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will hold an emergency meeting here Tuesday to discuss the repercussions of the brutal Israeli attack on Gaza.

The OIC said several foreign ministers have confirmed their participation in the Jeddah meeting, which will discuss how to raise the issue of Israeli barbarism on Palestinians at international forums. The executive committee includes Egypt, Senegal, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Guinea.

OIC Secretary-General Iyad Madani has been following up the resolutions taken by the committee last month by contacting international organizations to stop the continuous Israeli aggression in Gaza.

The group at the UN had called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council following the Zionist operation, but the body did not take any action against Israel and only called for a truce.

The group also urged an emergency meeting to be held at the Human Rights Council to denounce Israel and form an independent panel to investigate Israeli human rights violations in occupied territories.

The OIC is currently making preparations to try Israeli officials at the International Criminal Court for war crimes.
