Fire causes havoc at scrapyard
Burned out cars after a fire broke out in the scrapyard of the new industrial area of Khamis Mushayt.
KHAMIS MUSHAYT — A fire broke out in the scrapyard of the new industrial area, resulting in damage to a number of scrap cars. Asir Civil Defense spokesman Col. Mohammad Al-Asmi said firefighters managed to contain the fire before it could spread further to other vehicles in the yard. He added firefighters had to deal with strong winds that made their task even more problematic. An investigation is under way to determine the cause of the fire.
