Akhil Kapur and Sanjay Dutt

MUMBAI: One may expect that Akhil Kapur, the youngster who makes his debut in “Desi Kattey,” would model himself on Vinod Khanna, considering the fact that he is nephew of the veteran actor.
However, according to glamsham.com, his act in Anand Kumar directed film is said to be on the lines of Sanjay Dutt, who has forever been known for his style and personality.

“One look at Akhil and you can see that he has modeled himself on the lines of Sanjay Dutt,” comments an insider, “With the kind of built he has, the physique that he boasts, the body language that he carries and especially the look he has, especially with his long swaying hair, there is Sanjay dutt written all over it.”

On closer look, one does realize that there is a strong Sanjay Dutt hangover in there, especially from the days of “Khalnayak,” “Sadak” and “Kartoos,” which made him a hit amongst the youth.

“You are right,” says Anand who has worked with Sanjay Dutt in last year’s “Zila Ghaziabad,” “When Sanju used to come and just stand in front of the camera, he didn’t have to say much. Just his presence used to do the trick for him. Same is the case with Akhil as well. In the film he is just magical as this man who knows more than just a thing or two about desi kattey. 15-20 years back, Sanjay Dutt would have been just an ideal choice for the film. Today, I can confidently say that Akhil is the next Sanjay Dutt in the making.”
