19 arrested in Riyadh for crimes during Ramadan

A total of 19 suspects were arrested for committing 220 crimes in Riyadh during the holy month of Ramadan.

The police executed a number of successful operations, which resulted in the arrest of five gangs.
Three young Saudis were apprehended for robbing cars, cash and mobile phones from workers in gas stations and shopkeepers. The perpetrators immediately admitted to their crimes and face further investigations under police custody.

The police also arrested another ring of burglars, comprising of four Saudis and a Yemeni, who broke car windows to rob laptops and other valuables left in vehicles. They were also found guilty of stealing spare wheels from cars, revealed a police office, adding that they were responsible for committing 163 crimes.

Another gang composed of three Saudis and a Yemeni were arrested for breaking and entering into cars and stealing old coins, worth a total of SR55,000.
