Microsoft’s Surface tablets haven’t been particularly well received in the market, even though the company has tried quite hard. The new Surface Mini with its Qualcomm chipset seems to be the company’s effort at making a mark on the tablet market.

Till now, Microsoft has been collaborating with Intel, using their processors to power the Surface Pro models. The latest version of the Surface tablet was the Surface Pro 2, which was powered by the Intel Core i5-4300U processor.
